Bill Bishop: gone but not forgotten

July 18, 2018:  Bill Bishop died earlier this year, 2/20/18, he was 91.  He was a regular at Cobb’s Creek in the 40s, 50s and 60s and one of the best African-American golfers ever at Cobb’s ranking up there with Howard Wheeler, Charlie Sifford and Bobby Mayes.  In fact all four of them are in the National Black Golf Hall of Fame (http://Nationalblackgolfhalloffame.com).  He turned pro in the mid 50s and played on the United Golf Association (UGA) tour and in the 70s on the PGA tour.   Take a few minutes and click on the link to his obituary and read about his extraordinary life and accomplishments:  http://www.tributes.com/obituary/show/William-Bishop-105885251
