May 27, 2019: In July of 1940 another City golf course opened and it was called League Island. Later the name changed to FDR. Recently a masterplan was unveiled to show wonderful, huge changes to the park, but will unfortunately not include the current golf course in play. So, if you haven’t played this Eddie Clarey designed course, go see it before it closes!
